Innovative Pest Solutions would like to congratulate its owner, Kevin Spillman for successfully passing his Associate Certified Entomologist (ACE) test in January 2019. He now has the honor of being called an ACE. This designation is solid evidence to the general public and the pest control community that Kevin has undergone a rigorous testing program that included evaluation of his education and experience by his peers.
Why is being an ACE important?
- An ACE is one of only 1% of pest control professionals nationwide who’ve have chosen to certify themselves through a program that is endorsed by the Entomological Society of America and the National Pest Management Association.
- An ACE has chosen to prove his or her level of knowledge and expertise by passing a rigorous and comprehensive exam, developed by the world’s leading pest management entomologist.
- An ACE abides by a Code of Ethics that promises honest and fair treatment of each and every customer.
- An ACE stays up to date on the latest pest management information and renews their certification every three years.
The ACE examination includes questions about basic entomology; insect identification, life cycles, and control measures; health impacts of pests; ecological principles pertaining to pest control; environmental impacts related to pest control; integrated pest management (IPM); pesticide safety and health issues; pesticide technology and resources; organizations and associations of significance to the pest control industry; and laws and regulations affecting the industry.
