About Innovative Pest Solutions — A Message From Our Founder
In 2002, I founded Innovative Pest Solutions intending to give the people of the Triangle a solution to all their pest control needs. I am a third-generation pest control operator who has worked for a local pest control company for many years and worked with the Department of Agriculture regulating pest control companies in Wake County. I finally realized that it was time to go out and create my own business.
I built the company with the customer in mind, trying to exceed expectations every chance I got. In 2004, I added a partner, my brother Scott, and we continued to provide pest control in Raleigh NC, and pest control in Durham NC. As the years went by, we added employees and expanded our business, but in 2016 things began to change for me.
In 2016, I joined an organization called C12. The organization’s stated goal is to “Build a great business, for a Greater purpose.” Once a month, I would sit around the table with 11 other Christian business owners to discuss our companies and help build each other up. It is at this point I realized that my business is much more than providing quality residential pest control services to the Raleigh/Durham market; it is a vehicle in which to build-up and care deeply for my employees and our clients and to reflect the character of Jesus Christ out into our community.
2 Corinthians 5:20 – “Therefore we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ: Be reconciled to God.”

Purpose
Everything we do is driven by purpose. We believe there is intention behind every action, from how we assess a problem to how we deliver a solution. Our work goes beyond pest control; it’s about protecting homes, businesses, and the well-being of the people who depend on them.
By dedicating ourselves to a cause greater than ourselves, we serve our customers, our team, and our communities with care, responsibility, and pride. Purpose gives meaning to our work and motivates us to deliver solutions that truly make a difference.

Striving to Serve
At Innovative Pest Solutions, striving to serve means giving our best every time. It’s a serious, persistent, and dedicated effort to provide real help, reliable solutions, and meaningful benefits to those we serve. We don’t settle for the minimum; we work vigorously and intentionally toward the highest standards in everything we do.

Our Ministry
At Innovative we have always had a heart for our community and for others in this world. Here are a few ways we are giving back.
> Compassion
All our employees are asked to pick a child that is in the Compassion organization in Rwanda. Our local church has a tie to Rwanda and Rwanda has a special place in our hearts. Innovative pays for the sponsorship but all the correspondence is handled by the employee. We love to get letters from our guys and girls in Rwanda and share with one another all their stories.

WE RELEASE CHILDREN FROM POVERTY IN JESUS’ NAME
That is our mission, which we work to achieve through a holistic approach to child development. We carefully blend physical, social, economic, and spiritual care together… in Jesus’ name.
> The Food Bank of Eastern NC
Once a quarter we like to grab lunch together and then go work several hours at the Food Bank of Eastern NC. The Food Bank services over 31 counties in our areas to get food to people in need. This is a great way to give back to the community and to have a great team-building exercise.
About Our Founder
Kevin Spillman is the founder of Innovative Pest Solutions, Inc. He is a third-generation pest control operator with experience in the pest control field and in regulating pest control companies during his stint with the Department of Agriculture – Structural Pest Control Division. He is the former President (2007-2008) of the North Carolina Pest Management Association and the previous chair of the Wood-Destroying Insect Accreditation Program. Kevin also has received his A.C.E. (Associate Certified Entomologist) designation from the Entomological Society of America in 2019.
Kevin has lived in the Raleigh/Durham area for over 20 years, and he and his family are proud to call Raleigh their home.
