Silverfish
Silverfish are small silver colored insects with elongated bodies, found occasionally in the home. Their abdomen tapers at the end, giving them a fish-like appearance. These small insects (13–25 millimeters / 0.51–0.98 inches long) feed on carbohydrates in your home, including glue, book bindings, plaster, some paints, paper, photos, sugar, coffee, hair, carpet, clothing and dandruff. Silverfish are considered a household pest, due to their consumption and destruction of property.
